The Mary Kay way. Working 60 hours a week in a corporate environment just didn’t suit Independent Senior National Sales Director Brenda Segal. So, instead of pursuing her MBA, Brenda purchased her Starter Kit. Eight months later, she was working her Mary Kay business full time. 

“I am happier now than I ever have been,” Brenda says. “I enjoy seeing women do what they were uncertain they could do and designing their own journey to success.” 

Brenda created her success by adopting her parents’ work ethic and taking ownership for her actions. Treating others as they want to be treated and following Mary Kay Ash’s Go-Give philosophy also is important to Brenda. In fact, she’s known for asking herself and others, “What would Mary Kay do?” 

“I try to keep Mary Kay Ash’s wisdom and philosophies in front of my area members, by quoting her and telling stories about her.” Brenda shares, “From Mary Kay, I learned to be truly present in the moment and attentive to people.”

Mary Kay Ash’s priorities have transferred to Brenda’s daughter, Natalie, who is an Independent Beauty Consultant and a college student. Both have been influenced by Independent Executive National Sales Director Sherry Windsor, who has spent many special moments in the Segals’ home. Brenda’s also proud that her mother, Independent Beauty Consultant Inez Boring, is realizing the rewards of a Mary Kay business. 

“Seeing the women in my National area grow brings such joy to me and is better than my own successes,” Brenda explains. “We can have such an impact on people – positive or negative. What we say to others does make a difference!”

Balancing that responsibility with laughter and fun, Brenda brings joy to everyone and every situation. Brenda challenges everyone to, “Dream the greatest dream you can for yourself and begin to move toward it every single day, the Mary Kay way.”
